A TEN-YEAR-OLD boy was arrested in York on suspicion of making threats to kill, writes Jennifer Bell, crime reporter.
Police arrested a youngster and two adults after they raided a traveller’s site at Clifton Moor.
A man and a woman, both aged 40, were also arrested on suspicion of using threatening behaviour.
Officers carried out the raids at the caravan site, near the former grain store at Clifton Moor, as York Police investigated a criminal damage incident in the city.
The operation saw police teams block exits and carry out searches of several properties at the site, which holds about 23 caravan pitches.
The raid on Thursday followed an incident at about 8.45pm the day before in Ryburn Close, Rawcliffe, when residents reported a disturbance involving a group of young people at a property in the area.
One of the house’s windows was smashed, along with the windscreens of an Audi A4 and a Nissan Micra which were parked outside.
The three arrests were made on Thursday at an address in Water Lane, and the trio were questioned by police.
They have now been released on police bail.
