WITH reference to D Bailey’s letter on July 28 about people walking on the banks at Clifford’s Tower, I have emailed and written to English Heritage on several occasions in the past five years.
I get the same reply, which says we will pass your concerns on to the staff, who will be more vigilant in future.
Well, as we can all see, the erosion to the bank is not only unsightly but could over the next few years cause subsidence.
Then who pays? I for one won’t put any money in their charity pot. As for English Heritage, I look forward to my free National Trust voucher courtesy of The Press.
