DOG-WALKERS have been asked to stay away from a North Yorkshire nature reserve after three animals died moments after being in the area.

Notices warning pet-lovers of the potential risk have been put up by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust at Burton Riggs Nature Reserve at Seamer.

It follows the death of eight dogs which ingested poison on a footpath in Keighley, but the RSPCA said the two incidents were not being linked.

Tests are now being carried out at the nature reserve, which is owned by the wildlife trust.
