YOUNG people aged between 16 and 18 years have until Tuesday to apply for one of 35 apprenticeships with City of York Council.
The council announced the creation of the 35 positions, in mental health support, youth work, housing and public protection, business admin, HR, and IT, as part of the York Apprenticeship Challenge, which aims to encourage organisations to create 100 apprenticeship places in 100 days. A number of the new apprenticeships will be allocated by the council to Looked After Children and young people leaving care.
The Press teamed up with City of York Council, the National Apprenticeship Service and other partners to launch the York Apprenticeship Challenge.
If you are a candidate wanting to apply for a council apprenticeship by August 9 or search other vacancies created by York Apprenticeship Challenge, or you are a business wanting to be part of the challenge and bring lasting social and economic benefits to the city of York, visit apprenticeships.org.uk or call 08000 150 600.
