A ONE-DAY beach festival is still taking place in Goole tomorrow, despite the floods.
The Goole Beach Festival will see tonnes of sand used to create a man-made beach in the centre of the town.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council will lead a day of games, storytelling and sand castle competitions for younger children, and volleyball, rounders and French cricket for older children.
A host of entertainers will also take to a stage throughout the day, and street performers, stilt walkers, jugglers, unicyclists and theatrical groups will also perform in the town centre.
The beach will be open between 7am and 4pm, and music and performances will continue on the stage until 8pm.
