AN MEP for York, North Yorkshire and East Yorkshire has called for the death penalty to be restored. Godfrey Bloom, of UKIP, has signed an e-petition that if it collects 100,000 signatures could trigger a House of Commons debate on the issue.
He is in favour of capital punishment for child and serial killers.
Restoring the death penalty is not UKIP policy.
