A joint Wigginton, Easingwold and Rawcliffe team celebrate winning Redcar’s Tata Steel Cup.
A TRIO of York junior football teams joined forces for a successful raid on Redcar’s Tata Steel Cup seven-a-side competition.
The players, who all train at the York City Centre of Excellence, were drawn from Woodthorpe, Easingwold and Rawcliffe to play together in competition action for the first time.
The team played seven matches in the tournament and conceded only one goal – in the final as they beat a strong Nunthorpe team 4-1 to lift the trophy.
