A WEEKEND of events to raise awareness and funds for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People raised more than £3,000.
The third annual Big Weekend in North Duffield, organised by the Ash Duggan Committee, raised £3,100 for the charity, with a car treasure hunt, a beer festival, bell ringers, dancers, a tug of war, a football tournament and live music.
Lucy Nalton, Community Fundraising Manager for Hearing Dogs, said: “The committee have done an amazing job of organising this fantastic local event. “Hearing Dogs are thrilled to have been selected as the main charity to benefit from this years event and can’t thank the committee and all those that supported the event enough for the amazing amount raised.”
