FANCY a foxtrot or a jitterbug? A 1940s dance is being held in the Riley Smith Hall, in Tadcaster, to raise money for St Leonard’s Hospice, York.
Guests will dance to music of from Generation Groove, and an authentic two-course Forties supper will be served.
Ration books and coupons will not be required!
Judith Wilson, community fundraiser at St Leonard’s, said: “Here’s a chance to dig out those 1940s clothes – or your old uniform – and dance your way to victory.”
Tickets for the dance, which runs from 7.30pm to 1am, cost £19.95 each and are available by phoning 01904 77 77 77.
