THREE of the original Calendar Girls from Rylstone and District Women’s Institute will open Martin House Hospice’s new shop in Acomb later this month.
Angela Baker, Beryl Banforth and Christine Clancy will open the shop between 10am and 11am on Wednesday August 17. The shop will sell toys, books, clothes and household items in Front Street, Acomb, between 10am and 11am.
Retail manager Stephanie Rimmington said “In a difficult economic climate our retail outlets provide a vital source of funding for the families across Yorkshire that need the help offered by the care teams at Martin House.”
The shop is looking for good quality clothes and other bric-a-brac and would welcome any donations or volunteers. For more details, visit martinhouse.org.uk or phone 01937 845045.
