Sewerby Hall & Gardens is the perfect venue for civil wedding ceremonies and holds a civil wedding licence for The Orangery, a magnificent glass conservatory overlooking the south gardens and Bridlington Bay with seating for up to 120 guests. The Swinton Room is a smaller Victorian reception room, seating 80 guests, with a fine Neo-Rococo plaster ceiling and views onto the north gardens.
The hall is also licensed for renewal of vows ceremonies and naming ceremonies.
Sewerby Hall is two miles north of the seaside resort of Bridlington, on the lovely East Yorkshire coast. The grade I-listed country house is set in 50 acres of landscaped gardens in a cliff top location on the outskirts of Sewerby village.
For conferences, meetings, private parties and weddings, Sewerby Hall boasts a range of excellent room hire facilities.
The Orangery (120 people theatre style, 80- 100 people café style) is a magnificently restored conservatory overlooking the south gardens and Bridlington Bay.
The Swinton Room (70 people-theatre style, 34 people café style, 24 people committee style) is a Victorian reception room with fine Rococo plasterwork ceiling, overlooking the north gardens.
The lovely gardens of Sewerby extend some 50 acres and offer magnificent views over Bridlington bay, from Flamborough headland to the north-east, down to Spurn Point looking south.
There is ample parking in the main car park on Church Lane and three wedding vehicles, are allowed up to the front of the hall. The ceremony guests have unlimited free access to the estate via an alternative gate at the bottom of the car park.
The registrar’s fees are not included in the price and you should make separate arrangements with the Registrar’s Office at the Bridlington Town Hall direct on 01482 393570 to arrange a mutually convenient date and time.
The staff are only too happy to show you around the premises at your convenience although they do suggest you call the estate office first to avoid disappointment.
