A BID by a Harrogate school to gain academy status has been put on hold.
Harrogate High School was set to convert to academy status under the umbrella of Outwood Grange Academy in Wakefield from the beginning of the autumn term, but it has been delayed due to legal hold-ups.
The school’s principal, Andrew Bayston, has told parents he is still committed to making the transition.
