ORGANISERS of a concert at York Barbican to celebrate the life and music of the late York-born composer John Barry are hoping it will be a sell-out.
Fewer than 200 tickets remain for the tribute concert, which takes place at 7pm on Sunday, October 30. Performers include York Guildhall Orchestra, York Railway Institute Band, the Steve Cassidy Band and singer Jo Pears.
Tickets, priced £22.50, are on sale at the Barbican box office, with proceeds going to the Lord Mayor of York’s chosen charities.
