A FOOTBALL fan has been banned for life by York City over allegations of racist chants.
The 41-year-old man man, from York, was arrested for racially aggravated abuse at a City game in November and is currently on police bail.
He has now received a life ban from the Minstermen's Bootham Crescent ground after the club said he was found to have chanted racist remarks.
City manager Gary Mills said the club would not tolerate racism, adding: "It's a minority - it's not something any of us want.
"I don't like it and I don't want it, but of course it is there."
