Police have arrested and bailed the estranged wife of Sir Ian Botham’s son, Liam, in connection with an alleged dognapping in North Yorkshire.
Woody, a 15-month-old “sprocker” spaniel, vanished from outside the ex-cricketer’s farmhouse in Ravensworth, near Richmond. The dog, a springer spaniel/cocker spaniel cross, belongs to Emma Sayle, the girlfriend of Liam, a former professional rugby player who is currently getting a divorce from his estranged wife, Sarah-Jayne Botham, 37. It is understood Sarah-Jayne Botham has been arrested and bailed in connection with the disappearance of the dog.
