THE FORMER deputy headmaster of a Selby school has pledged to donate some of the proceeds from his first novel to charity.
Colin Tones, who writes under the pseudonym Colin Eston, retired eight years ago as deputy head of The Read School, near Drax, and has since written a number of murder-mystery books based in Selby.
The books are self-published, and Mr Tones will be signing copies and discussing the writing and self-publishing process at Selby Abbey Leisure Centre on Tuesday, December 6, between 11am and 3pm – £1 from each copy will be going to charity.
