COUNCILLORS and residents have been angered by moves by NHS bosses to sell a hospital site in Northallerton. Estate agents have begun marketing the former Rutson Hospital. Coun John Coulson, Mayor of Northallerton, has challenged the move and Richmond MP William Hague has asked Communities Secretary Eric Pickles to look into the matter.
The North Yorkshire and York NHS Trust said senior figures were unavailable to comment.
