If you are planning your wedding, then one date not to be missed this spring is the Yorkshire Living Brides Wedding Exhibition on Sunday, April 1.
These hugely popular twice-yearly events have become firm fixtures in the bridal calendar and will once again take place at York Racecourse.
There will be more than 70 stands encompassing every field of expertise you could wish for to give you ideas and inspiration to plan your big day.
Brides-to-be who are pressed for time can also visit ten leading venues, who will be exhibiting, and get a valuable insight into what they have to offer in just a few hours.
There will also be two professionally-choreographed catwalk shows showing the latest bridal fashions for him, her, mums, bridesmaids and flower girls at noon and 2pm.
Alison Spaven, business development manager at The Press and organiser of the event, said: “More than 1,000 people attended the autumn event, which was a fantastic success – and this one promises to be even better. I would, however, like to hear from local stationery designers who would be interested in exhibiting at one of the biggest wedding fairs in the area.”
Admission is free, and those who sign the bridal register will receive £20 of play money to try their hand at the roulette table, supplied by Michelle Townson of MissDeal Casino Nights, with the prize of a bottle of Champagne for biggest winner of the day.
The exhibition starts at 11am and runs until 4pm, and there is ample free parking on site.
