OLYMPICS with a difference are coming to Allerthorpe, near Pocklington, tomorrow and on Sunday, when the village stages its scarecrow festival.
Organisers have created a trail of about 40 scarecrows, each of which can be seen taking part in an Olympic sport.
Visitors will be able to buy a map for £2 and follow the indicated trail around the village.
There will also be a chance to spot Wenlock, the Olympic mascot, and those taking part will be able to take pictures of themselves on an Olympic podium, which will be part of the trail.
There will also be a chance to vote for your favourite scarecrow.
Times are 1pm to 5pm on each day. Parking will be signposted and teas will be served in the village hall.
