Two local York companies, Bluebird Care and GiveBackWorks, are working with the York Teaching Hospital charity to organise a summer fair to raise vital funds for the Star Appeal which aims to raise £300,000 to refurbish York Hospital’s Stroke Rehabilitation unit.
The event will take place on Wednesday, June 13, at the Park Inn Hotel in York between 10am and 4pm.
There will be a huge range of stalls including reflexology, massage, tarot reading, gardening, cookery, health and beauty, jewellery and handmade and fair trade gifts.
There will also be a raffle, tombola and cake stall.
Raffle prizes include a train simulator experience from Spice Adventure company, a free main bingo session at Mecca, a car valet from We Valet Cars and a three-day gym pass for Roko gym.
The event has been sponsored by three GiveBackWorks members; Arrow Property Care, RTL Wear Ltd and Hog Roast Yorkshire.
Lucy Watson, fundraising manager for the York Teaching Hospital charity said, “The summer fair will be a great day with a wide range of stalls. There will be discounts and some fantastic products to purchase.
Admission to the fair is free.
