A TEAM of students have helped York’s Railway Institute raise its profile by creating a new website.
Five students studying a foundation degree in internet and business technologies at York College worked with the institute in a professional project module in which students design, build, deliver and manage a real project for a business client using industry standard tools and techniques.
Colin Weir, general manager of the Railway Institute, said: “The Railway Institute is one of York’s best kept secret and the website provides information about who we are and what we do, including links to numerous activities that go on here.”
The students, Matthew Cavanagh, Ed Phillips, Ben Gullwell, Warren Mead and Joshua Birch are planning to top up their foundation degrees with a BSc Honours degree next year at Sheffield Hallam University.
