CHARITY cyclist Mike Smith was welcomed home after completing a 1,000 bike ride to Spain and back.
Mr Smith, an art photographer and lecturer from York, went on an epic solo bike ride from Northern Spain to York and hopes to raise £1,000 for Age UK.
He works one day a week at Cherry Tree House, in Tang Hall Lane, as a volunteer driver for people with Alzheimer’s and dementia. The day club at Cherry Tree House is run as a partnership between Age UK York and York and North Yorkshire Primary Care Trust. It enables people to participate in activities, socialise and have lunch.
Mr Smith urges anyone who wishes to sponsor him to donate online at justgiving.com/MIke-Smith1000
