Police arrested two men in the early hours of yesterday, following a burglary in York Road, Haxby.
The arrested men were a 23-year-old from Easingwold and a 26-year-old from York.
The burglary was one of five reported in the north of York overnight, although it is not yet known if they are linked.
The communal area of a block of flats was broken into in Southolme Drive and two freezers were taken. A house in Earswick Chase was broken into and a high-value racing cycle was taken.
A two-in-one burglary was reported after offenders broke into a house in Appleby Glade, Haxby, and took the keys to two vehicles parked outside, stealing a Toyota Avensis and the sat-nav from a van. Electrical items were also stolen from inside the house.
At another property in Chelkar Way, burglars broken into a home and stole an amount of jewellery.
