A MOTHER-OF-TWO who suffered severe burns when pouring petrol from a jerry can in her kitchen has now been released from hospital.
Diane Hill has spent more than two months receiving treatment at the specialist burns unit at Pinderfields Hospital, in Wakefield.
She suffered 40 per cent burns when she dropped a glass jug she was pouring petrol into at her home in Moorgate, Acomb, York, in March.
Her gas cooker was alight at the time and the petrol fumes ignited.
The incident, back in April came a day after Francis Maude, the Cabinet Office minister, urged motorists to stock up on fuel at their homes ahead of a proposed tanker drivers’ strike.
