A SHOWCASE of art, design and crafts is about to be unveiled as York College students put on an end-of-year celebratory exhibition.
The annual York College Creative Show will include a diverse range of fine art, design, craft and media work and will also feature drawings and paintings, ceramics, metalwork, jewellery, leaded glass, sculpture, printmaking and 3D product design.
There will also be photography, textiles, fashion design, graphic design, video, radio, acting and musical performances.
At the exhibition, which will take place between Wednesday, June 20 and Tuesday, June 26, the college’s art studios will be decorated with work produced over the year, reflecting the efforts and achievements of students as they leave the college.
Helen Ventress, head of division for art design and craft, said: “This is a very high-profile event in the college’s calendar. The creative show reflects the flair and genius of our students and their incredible efforts and achievements as they embark on the next stage in their careers.
“They are the young artists and designers of the future with their finger on the pulse of exciting ideas in the ever-changing world we live in.”
