I FELT sad reading Helen Mead’s comment in her column of June 5 that not many of us go about hugging all and sundry, and that it’s not expected or wanted.
To not want to respond to your children is quite different. Hugs are a simple but effective way of letting people show they care; it’s a natural way of bonding. No one is too old to be given a loving hug.
