THE latest attack on Labour over cancelling one Cabinet meeting shows a Liberal Democrat group completely bereft of ideas.
If this is the biggest gripe of the council’s third party, then I’m confident we are on the right track. Quite apart from showing how out of touch it is with the public, the Liberal Democrat group, not for the first time, adopts contradictory positions. Meetings are critical to scrutiny of the administration’s policies, says their leader, then fails to highlight that cancellation of executive member decision sessions was commonplace during their time in office. Say one thing, do another; do one thing, say another. The Lib Dems in York have a serious credibility problem.
