A 13-year-old boy had his leg broken when he was hit by a moped in Bridlington.
The boy was walking in South Cliffe Road at about 2.15pm on Saturday, June 9, when a black Piaggio 125cc moped crashed outside Sweet Delights.
Humberside Police said the motorcyclist picked up his moped, which had fallen on top of the boy, and rode away with out exchanging any details.
The boy was taken by ambulance to Scarborough Hospital where he received treatment for a broken leg.
Police believe the registration number of the moped involved was YX53 HKH and that it had been sold to somebody in the Hull area a few hours prior to the collision.
The owner of the moped and anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to phone Humberside Police on 101 quoting log 360 of June 9.
