READERS of The Press have sent in these pictures of bizarre birds and their antics.
Linda Hill, of Copmanthorpe, snapped a semi-albino blackbird which has been living in her garden for some time.
Linda described the bird’s tail feathers when it flies off as “like a zebra crossing.” She said the bird did not have an ounce of shyness about it, often coming right up to her house.
Meanwhile, reader Karen Buck sent in her photo of another bird which became trapped in a feeding cage in her garden.
After finding the stricken bird, Karen noticed the lid of the feeder was on the floor. This may have been due to a squirrel knocking it off, before the bird flew in and got trapped.
With some assistance, the bird was freed and flew away unscathed.
