A LUXURY train ride will be raising funds for a North Yorkshire children’s charity later this month.
The Northern Belle, run by Orient Express, will be taking a special excursion - called “A Grand Day Out” - from York and Leeds to Bath on June 30 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Martin House Children’s Hospice at Boston Spa, which cares for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses.
Passengers will be served a three-course meal and glass of wine on the way to an afternoon of sightseeing and a four-course dinner on the return journey, with proceeds going to Martin House.
The price per person is £325, with a £75 per head deposit necessary to secure reservations.
