FROM this week, the public can make donations to nine well-loved national charities at more than 8,000 ATMs in the RBS group network.
Customers can choose to donate between £1 and £150 to help fund the selected charities, including Age UK, Barnardo’s, Cancer Research UK, BBC Children In Need, Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) Appeal, Oxfam’s emergency work, Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), RSPCA and The STV Appeal. And 100 per cent of the donation will go to the chosen charity.
With more than two billion ATM transactions made in the UK last year, this is a welcome addition for anyone wanting to donate. By giving people a simple option during their transaction, we hope they will take the opportunity to make charity giving part of their lives. We would urge readers to consider making a donation to support the vital work our eight charities carry out. Every pound makes a difference.
Laurie Boult (Age UK), Anne Marie Carrie (Barnardo’s), Jools Tait (Cancer Research UK), Carrie Green (BBC Children in Need), Polly Gilchrist (DEC Appeal), Andrew Barton (Oxfam), Gerald Carew (RNIB), Catherine Cottrell (RSPCA) and Richard Findlay (The STV Appeal).
