HOME advantage has a huge part to play at London 2012, according to York City Rowing Club star Tom Ransley.
Great Britain supporters are being urged to show their backing for our Olympic medal hopefuls by wearing and waving an official Team GB and ParalympicsGB scarf.
Ransley, who will row for GB in the eights, said: “There is definitely going to be a home crowd advantage and that is something we can all really draw on.
“It’s great to have a motif and a way for people to show their support. I fully support the idea behind it.”
Profits from the sale of the scarves, which are available from Next stores in two sizes at £5 and £10, will go to the British Olympic Association and British Paralympic Association to help British athletes in 2012 and beyond.
