JUST when I thought the “Elf ’n Safety Brigade” were toning down their activities, the announcement that postal deliveries in South Yorkshire may be cancelled when its raining proved that they were still running round with their “cotton woolly thinking”.
A date check showed that it wasn’t a second April 1 this year, although sometimes it looks as if they are after creating one a month.
On the basis that the postal workers can’t go out when it’s raining, perhaps snow and ice may provide more excuses. And what about houses with dogs and cats?
Where will it end? Why don’t those responsible just sit down and think these decisions through before holding themselves up for deserved ridicule.
