Prime Minister’s Questions of June 13, the first one after the recent recess, included the usual exchange between the PM and the Opposition leader.
The subject was mainly the relations with the press over recent governments.
As the questions/accusations and answers flowed between the combatants, a cacophony from nearly 650 members of Parliament loud enough to almost drown out questions and answers resounded.
The Speaker had great difficulty (as usual) in calming what was surely an unnecessary and shameful display. This continued during the rest of the half hour with other questions.
Those watching from the public gallery and the many thousands watching the television broadcast must wonder why these “honourable” folk need to behave in such shocking an dishonourable manner.
