HUNDREDS of visitors enjoyed attractions ranging from tractor rides to butchery demonstrations when a countryside show was staged at a college near York.
Askham Bryan College threw open its doors on Sunday, with attractions including a dog show, sheep shearing, willow weaving, motor sport displays and a food market.
Gardeners could put their queries to a plant doctor in the college’s horticulture department, while everything from meerkats to snakes could be viewed in the animal management department.
“The day was a great success,” said a spokeswoman.
