CLIFTON captain Karen Hodgson gamed in 23, which included 140, 100, but her team fell 6-3 at York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League division one opponents Cueball ‘B’, whose Bev Harton, Tracey Farmeary and Lynne Clapham hit the tons.
Natalie Farmeary checked on 64 and Jo Hodges (140, 100) won the opening leg for Tramways against visitors Burnholme, who hit back through Bekki Thompson (154), Ruth Liddle-Howden and Carole Salkeld.
However, the home side’s Carole Layne (140, 100) and Karen Alton (140, 100) levelled the tie.
Layne and Kerry Goodall edged Tramways in front before team-mates Sue Lowery and Lynda Kennelly secured victory.
Anne Bass, Lynn Thompson, Muriel and Michelle Britton paved the way for a Lion’s victory, until Slipper’s Vicky Middleton and Doreen Johnstone narrowed the gap.
Johnstone combined with Karen Smith to reduce it further before Bass and Dawn Exton sealed victory and Michelle Britton and Thompson added to Lion’s tally.
In division two, Acomb ‘A’ came from 4-2 down at Severus ‘A’ winning all the pairs. Kate and Sarah Rankeillor snatched the match points after colleagues Sammy Endersby and Laura Gatenby levelled the duel at 4-4.
Front-runners Ox ‘A’ had victory sewn up within the singles as Tracey Watkinson put the tie beyond the grasp of Leeman ‘B’. Sandra Bruce waded in with some top scoring.
Division three pace-setters Severus ‘B’ had Jenny and Lesley George, Wendy Atkin and Michelle Atkin giving them the ideal start at Jubilee, whose Kelly Bailey (140) and Angela Lancaster narrowed the gap.
However, their joy was short-lived as the leaders won the remaining games for a resounding 7-2 win.
Woolpack had Chris Patterson and Kath Powell combining to seal a hard-fought 5-4 win against visitors Shepherd ‘B’.
Tracey Scurr, Anne Allison and Catherine Higgins gave Shepherd ‘A’ a 3-0 advantage before Debbie Witts responded for visitors Leeman ‘A’.
Rosie Hattee put the club side closer to a match win, but they had to wait until the final game in which Scurr combined with captain Maggie Bedingham to secure the club side the points.
Barton’s Dawn Barker and Jaquie Woods were on form to secure a toughly-contested 5-4 success at Shoulder ‘A’.
