YOUNG musicians aged eight to ten are being invited to the annual Strings Fun Day at Yearsley Grove Primary School in York on Friday, June 29.
The event, organised by York Music Service, allows primary-school age violin, viola, cello and double bass players to take part in a day of musical games and activities, and present a concert for family and friends.
Alison Goffin, director of York Music Service, said: “For many young players this will be the first opportunity they’ve ever had to play in such a large group.
The teachers involved always make sure that they have a great time, and we hope that the day will encourage them to think about other groups, both in and out of school, that they might like to join.”
Invitations have been sent to schools and music teachers, but for more information, contact York Music Service at enquiry@yorkmusicservice.co.uk for more details.
