FOUR people were arrested at York railway station following a disturbance on an East Coast train.
Officers want to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident on board the 4.30pm London King’s Cross to Edinburgh Waverley service on Sunday.
PC Harry Thompson said: “The East Coast service was delayed at York following a number of complaints from passengers about the behaviour of a group of passengers who were in Coach D on the train. The group included adult males and females who were sat in the middle of the coach on both sides of the carriage and had hung up Union flags above them. I am appealing for anyone who travelled on board and saw or heard what happened to contact BTP in confidence.”
When the train arrived at York, three men, aged 41, 47 and 52, and a 48-year-old woman, all from the Edinburgh area, were arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
They were released on police bail until July 15, pending inquiries.
