THE last couple of days of summer weather has enabled the true benefit to be enjoyed of the newly available space uncovered in Parliament Street.
Where? It is the area previously occupied by the defunct “splash palace”.
The pristine open space is a pleasant addition to this city shopping centre.
Let it remain an open space close to the welcome crowds which frequent the rest of Parliament Street.
It should not be cluttered by the many stalls and fairs, etc, which are regular occupants of the rest of this special part of the city.
Maybe a few seats for those who wish sit awhile and enjoy the scene would not be amiss.
