RUGBY league starlets from North Yorkshire have been educated in the game by two of York City Knights’ leading lights.
Knights captain James Ford, who doubles up as the club’s under-18s coach, took a training session with the North Yorkshire Service Area players at Huntington School, including doing a powerpoint presentation in a classroom before taking them onto the field.
George Elliott, the Knights’ former Leeds dual-code starlet who won youth international honours, took another session with the youngsters.
The Service Area players are deemed the best players in the region aside those already cherry-picked for Super League clubs’ academies.
