A MINIATURE railway ride is to be created at a York shopping centre.
The original proposals for the attraction at York Designer Outlet were rejected by City of York Council last year, but a revised scheme has now been approved.
The ride will include a station building and engine shed and will run around the perimeter of a grass area at the centre.
Cromar White Ltd, the agents for the applicant Russell Gowen, said the attraction would be suitably themed to reflect York’s long history with railways and have two coaches and possibly a coach for disabled people.
