RESIDENTS of Hambleton have been urged to remain vigilant following reports of a cold caller in the area.
North Yorkshire Police said the man has been seen in the area of Station Road, and claims to be a handyman offering to provide an intercom and keysafe supply and fitting service in the area.
A police spokesman urged all residents to treat cold callers with caution, lock their doors, and always check callers’ identification. Any incidents should be reported on 101.
