A NEW media training initiative for budding filmmakers got off to a flying start at York’s Reel Cinema.
An acting workshop, led by TV and stage actor Mike Burns, was a big hit with participants.
The event was the first in a series of workshops which will take place at the Blossom Street cinema in the next few weeks. Other workshops, which are open to all, will focus on writing for TV, filming for the web and Youtube, editing sound and film and animation. Next Sunday’s workshop will be run by broadcaster and journalist David Dunning and will focus on video journalism and how to get professional results using basic cameras.
