WITH regard to letters about the proposed community stadium for our fantastic team: in 1984 when we won the Fourth Division, 11,297 went to the match against Doncaster.
The following year 13,485 saw York play Liverpool at Bootham Crescent.
In 1993, 9,206 were at the York versus Bury match.
In 2004, when we were last in the league, we had an attendance of 7,923 against Hull.
In 2012, 15,000 locals travel 200 miles each way to see York play in London.
And then the new stadium holding just 6,000 is announced for York.
Someone can’t do their maths.
Kim Broomfleet, Poppleton Road, York.
