I ONCE thought K2 was only about Everest mountain climbing but obviously not any more.
K2 is apparently a legal tax avoidance scheme for the very wealthy; Jimmy Carr is only one of many.
This really comes as no surprise because we all know that tax avoidance is big business for accountants, but it is still morally wrong that this loophole has remained open for so long.
What saddens me is that the biggest tax burden always is focused on the lowest paid, who can ill afford these many tax hikes we have all seen recently.
Taxing poverty is also morally wrong. Phil Shepherdson, Chantry Close, Woodthorpe, York.
