STAFF from a York dental group hope to raise more than £1,000 by taking part in tomorrow’s Race for Life.
The 12-strong team of dental nurses, hygienists, dentists and receptionists from Thorpe Dental Group, which has surgeries in Woodthorpe, Copmanthorpe and Bishopthorpe, will take part in the 5km challenge at York Racecourse tomorrow.
Receptionist Jane Morris said: “We are doing it because we do have personal connections with people affected by cancer and treat a lot of patients. It’s a very worthwhile cause, we can do it as a team and hopefully raise more money.
“Some of the girls have been going running and some are walking and hoping for the best.”
