A SCHEME which aims to help businesses save energy is being backed by City of York Council.
The Investors in the Environment (iiE) initiative is also being backed by the Yorkshire Energy Partnership and rewards firms which take part with a recognised environmental accreditation designed to encourage them to become more sustainable and attract new customers.
Its first seminar will be held at the National Railway Museum between 9.30am and 12.30pm tomorrow, and is free of charge.
It will outline the benefits of saving water, energy and waste and simple changes which can be made.
Members of the scheme will be given a free events programme and local and regional networking opportunities.
