PUPILS from a York primary school ran a mini-marathon to raise money for a local charity.
Thirteen students from Lakeside Primary School each ran two miles in fancy dress last week in support of the Special Care Baby Unit at York Hospital.
Richard Crabtree, year six teacher, said: “We think that over the year, we’ve raised about £1,000 for the charity.
This weekend three teachers are walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks, so the children matched the teachers’ efforts.”
