CONCERNS over the lack of an autism diagnosis service for older children in the Harrogate area have been raised by a charity.
The National Autistic Society said there had been no service for children over seven since 2009, with NHS North Yorkshire and York saying it was now setting one up following delays caused by problems in recruiting a clinical psychiatrist.
The health trust apologised last year after parents in North Yorkshire had to wait more than two years for their children to be diagnosed with autism.
