Tony Cooper, with an 18-darter and a 180, and Johnny O'Mara (21) helped to keep Sun's unbeaten record with a 6-3 win over Rose.
Heath Scaife (19, 21), Steve Evans (18), Keith Turner (19, 20), Lee Brundrett (20) and Mark Mason (180) gave Acomb a convincing win over Flag B', whose only success came from Chris Hardy-Gordon Foster.
Slipper's Rob Platt (130 finish) and Russ Turpin (21) played well in their 6-3 win at the Crescent.
Volunteer's Mark Hartley (17) and Mick Harris (20, 22) couldn't prevent the shock result of the week as Mick Wilsden (20, 21) and a last pairs victory from Wilsden-Russ King gave Flag A' a 5-4 win.
In division two, Fulfordgate's best in their 8-1 win at Derwent came from Steve Swithenbank with a 105 finish.
Mal Muncaster (23) and John Dykes (23) helped Crescent to an 8-1 win at New Inn, while Derek Alexander (116 finish) helped Tree's to a 5-4 win over Holgate, whose Mick Brookes included a 180. Slip's Phil Smith (23), Gary Stryder (23) and Kev Richmond (22) played well in their 8-1 win over Swan.
